Veg Fish Farm

this dinner was pretty sudden
i was packing up as i was leaving school the next day
but since 'aunty' want to meet us once more
of coz i won't say no
this time around, fatt shen decided the venue

its the veg fish farm
they had their own tilapia fish pond, they grow their own vegetables
to have a clearer view of it, pls go when u can still see the road
on our journey there, its so so dark, you barely see anything
its so spooky

wah..left also got..right also got..
i din really look at the menu,
so let fatt shen make the choice
then after looking at some blogger review, only we realized we missed so many of their signature dish..haha
nvm..there is always a second time

the stir fry pucuk paku belacan
i find this a so so only because i prefer my paku to be more crisp when you bite on it
in terms of flavor, its still good

the lala dish..i dunno it's steam or fried
ok..beside the taste of the clam
its basically tasteless..its not flavorful enough..

the char-grilled cockles
they are more famous of the giant cockles but they don't have it that day
for the cockles, over grilled!!!
cockles is always best eaten when you still can taste the juice from the cockles
this is DRY..so you got to dip to the belacan to get some taste..

deep fried calamari
this is okay for me..they used cloves of fried garlic to bring out the flavor more
which compliment very well with the squid

this is the thing i ate the most with their rice
seafood tomyam, pretty flavorful broth
but not over spicy..good for those that are not into spicy food
variety of seafood and also the 'robber' mushroom i like in tomyam!!

steam tilapia fish Thai style
the fish is fresh, undeniable
the flavor is good, chopped garlic, bird eye chillies, sour and sweet
good enough to go with the rice
but, if compared to Khuntai at Penang, ill pick Khuntai

their dessert
thumbs down for this
its just crushed ice with thick coconut milk
some corn instead of jackfruit
and the water chestnut that are not ghewy on the outer and crisp on the centre
this failed to impress me

fatt shen together with 'aunty'
i miss my aunty leh
i wonder when can i go makan with her again??

waiting
