Antipodean Cafe

its another day where i basically have nothing to do and decided to head down Bangsar for breakkie all by myself since everyone is at work and i'm sitting alone in home
erm, this cafe is also another place for coffee that have been highly raved but also highly 'commented'
even a friend of mine was commenting, its not worth a visit
but its unfair to judge if i din pay a visit myself right

nevermind the good or bad comment, this place is fully packed when i reach and until i left, its still fully packed.
once a table being cleaned, new customers start sitting down, maybe its not that bad huh
service was considered fast looking at the amount of customers in house
i didn't have a chance to walk to the end of the cafe to look at the cake display also as it was so crowded but i love the crowd that day.it not like those Chinese kopitiam crowd. if you could understand
i was just sitting at one corner where i can mostly see everyone.observing mood on. haha!!

for the menu, just tilt your head to the right, and you can see a whole long list of menu
and i meant it when i say long, its the whole stretch of wall
from coffee, teas, juices, breakfast item, salads, main course, porridge (the Western kind like Bircher),Thai food, dessert...u name it, they basically have it.kitchen is really really busy for MEP..and one good news BREAKFAST WHOLE DAY LONG!!! and they serve PORK BACON

Antipodean emphasize a lot on their coffee, mainly Arabica blends from Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi and Bali. Its produced by Merdeka coffee, a Indonesia-based franchise
but black wasn't my choice for the day, opted for a latte
love the lovey love on the foam but don't like the extreme hot latte that almost burnt my tongue
it was really hot that i need to stir stir stir to cool it down slightly and the aroma of coffee wasn't really there
hmm, maybe business was too good and the barista made an error.

then i had my French Toast with maple syrup and pork bacon
it looks a bit pathetic right, but its the presentation la
nothing very special, but you don't get much place selling toast + Bacon + maple in Klang Valley though
and this was yummy.awesome threesome combination even they look like they doesn't pair
i always prefer maple on toast or pancake compared to honey, should have order extra bacon huh..rustic!!!

a good breakfast or brunch, to start off the day and i might just drop by for another trial of coffee and since there are still so so so much more items on the menu

ooohhh..and i found a new gem in BV, at Ben's General Store..big big muffin..
i guess they are almost the same size as Starbucks, and i bought the chorizo muffin and a few other pastries
i had a bite of the muffin and it was delicious. savory muffin is good once in a while with the price of RM10 for one muffin
this place has varieties of fresh bread on their display, very tempting, even English muffin. Cant wait to get those muffin to do my Eggs Benedict, or Egg Florentine??

poached egg + Hollandaise sauce + Pork Bacon + Rockets + Toasted English Muffin

sinny
