Gelateria, Kota Kemuning

i promise myself no matter what i got to blog about this place
no valid reason for that intention
Gelateria was managed by a couple
and i mean fully run by the husband and wife
they are the waiter cum owner cum cook cum gelato maker

so this means you got to wait
and i really mean that you got to wait for your food
they insist on making their food from scratch only when the customer arrives
so make sure you have some time or bring ur lappy here
what is good bout this place is they made their gelato all by themselves
lotsa flavor, from vanilla to mango to double choco or even Ferraro

the complimentary brushetta
and they will serve every customer with a cup of 'pandan' drink
and no refill or it will be charged


after 20 minutes, the arrival of the roast chicken set
RM 17.90 was a steal as the portion was pretty big
but the taste that matters right??
the chicken was well marinated as the flavor fully absorbed into the chicken
and the german potato was nice too
but the coleslaw, you can skip that


next was the fish, i don't really remember what is the fish
how does it fare, erm no wow wow effect for sure
the sauce was so watery and i can't really determine the flavor of the sauce
and they prepare this really really long..aiks

next time my visit here is only for the gelato
this was the one that comes with any a la carte order
the gelato was creamy and not too sweet for my liking
i don't really fancy chocolate ice-cream but this was acceptable for me


of course we tried out their spaghetti ice-cream
they do have their pizza and lasagna ice-cream
it really looks like some kind of noodle right
actually its the same gelato where they just piped it out at the correct temperature so that they don't melt while piping drizzle with the strawberry sauce
once again, i fell for the gelato..

  1. SUPER HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED GO THIS CAFE!!!! Bought coupon from mydeal and went dining there. She charged us about RM50++ per ice-cream after discount from coupon. I asked the lady boss why so expensive, but she scolded me until my mum can't recognise me. So bad her mouth, smelly and no waste teeth. Customer always right lah, ask her politely but scolded me back pulak...Her heart really bad, her Jesus will not forgive her. If she explained nicely to me, then it is fine even expensive. But this one charged so expensive, but somemore kena scold also...really tak berbaloi...Better go Baskin Robbins eat..

  2. Hi Anonymous....agree with you as I am also one of the victim. I was charged RM 53.90 for spaghetti gelato with 2 flavours (selection flavour i think). I bought online coupon from Mydeal for gelato at the price of RM 8. This coupon said valid for premium one flavour gelato. But when go there, the lady boss said premium flavour finished. But I saw from the freeze glass that vanilla flavour is there. Vanilla is premium according to her color grade. She forced me to upgrade to selection flavour. She said premium flavour not nice, selection flavour better and special as she used grade A ingredients. She convinced me saying that my RM 8 coupon value is RM 19.90, so if let say my ice-cream cost RM 27.90, I just need to pay the different, ie RM 8. Then I calculated in my heart, RM 8 for coupon, and another RM 8 for upgrade, so total is RM 16 for one ice-cream. Then it is reasonable as if you go Baskin Robbins eat, the price is maybe more than that. Since this is a promotion price, so I trust her and chose my selection flavour. Happily eat with my friends, but when the bill came, I almost fainted. My spaghetti gelato cost RM 73.80!!!! After deducting the RM 8 coupon which the value is RM 19.90, I still need to pay RM 53.90 for my spaghetti gelato. Shhiittt! RM 53.90 plus my coupon RM 8, total I need to pay RM 61.90 for this "grade A ingredients gelato". For this price, I can eat Haagen Dazs or Baskin Robbins!! What is this gelateria if compared to HD & BR? Asked the lady boss why so expensive, then she aggresively defend herself and talked non-stop for all nonsense thing. Keep on saying this is cheap as her ice-cream is self-made, not using machine, use the best and imported ingredients etc. Feel really tired talk to her as she really talk non-stop. Really "beh tahan" her attitude. Really feel cheated, but can't do anything. End up pay this amount with my heart feel like stab by a knife. Plan to make a complain, so asked for receipt. And this is the best part. She said she couldn't give me the receipt as her accountant will asked why I just pay RM 53.90 when the actual price is RM 73.80. I told her can print a copy, but she reluctantly to give, saying that her system cannot print copy receipt. Walao yeh...how to complain now? No proof. If I tell others, who will believe me? I only have my friends as witness. People will say I tried to frame her. But she is not related to me, why should I frame her? God always watching, so no point for me to say bad thing for innocent people. I am just a normal consumer. So my advise is if you dining at this cafe, ASK FOR THE PRICE before you upgrading anything. Otherwise, you will end up like me. But from what I see, she has a problem in calculation as one of my friend who went there dining also feel shocked when her bill only cost RM 40++ for 2 main courses, 2 soup & 2 drinks. Hello, set beef loin steak already cost RM 24.90, how can the bill only RM 40++? But the lady boss lucky as my friend is an honest person, told her she calculated wrongly. Corrected bill is almost RM 70. But I am the other way, I am unlucky as need to pay extra for the ice-cream. Not few ringgit, but almost RM 40 per ice-cream. There are 4 ice-cream, and I already promised to treat my friends before going there, so end up I need to pay extra RM 160!!!! In my hand, I still have 2 more coupons as I bought 6, now this balance 2 coupons I decided to let it burn!!Rather let it burn than pay the lady extra!! I believe in one thing, when you cheat people RM 160, you will LOST RM 1,600 one day. Let the God punish you!!

    We should have read the posts above before we went there... but too late...

    I went with my family to this shop Gelateria in Kota Kemuning. We bought a groupon too.

    When we arrived that shop, we gave her the groupon. The lady owner was the only one working there, no other helpers

    While she was preparing the food, she started to complain that many people printed their groupons repeatedly to cheat her. She said many groupon people printed many copies and she wasn't happy.

    She said she rather to have her place went empty. She quickly corrected " No... not empty. I have many quiet customers, who spent two to three hours eating, and paying RM300-RM400".

    She also promoted other items on her menu, but apparently we were only interested to eat what we bought from groupon. We just had some chit-chat with her since she was such a friendly lady.

    We bought two sets of gelato from groupon. The taste of the gelato were strange, and there were too much ice. The taste was not as good as we first thought. However, as it was from groupon, and the price was reasonable after the discount, we didn't complaint about that.

    We definitely will not go there again. Other gelato shops could prepare that better than her. She was like doing one-woman-show.

    Before we were about to go, she politely explained to us that she was going to charge us RM8 extra.

    We asked why?

    She said the one we ordered "NO MORE", so she prepared a SUPREME one for us.

    We asked " We never asked you to do that, and before we ate, you should have informed us!"

    She said " SO YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PAY?"

    From a friendly and chatty lady, she turned into a mad and angry lady, as if we have owed her!

    No wonder she had no customers!

    I couldn't believe that we went into this strange shop and this weird lady!

    I have gone to so many gelato shops, in terms of taste, this is the worst.

    Most importantly, her attitude! How could she prepared something different from groupon vouchers we bought. She could have told us first. She didn't.

    So, who is cheating now?

    NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!

  4. Hi Victim III...you are consider good if compared to victim II. I think there are more victims, but just they no report. I am one of the victim too....my story also very sad, kena cheat $$$$. The lady boss really 2 faces....mood change very fast. Can be friendly one second, after second can become fierce and rude person. When we went in, she was very friendly greeted us, smile to us. She started change when we want to pay for bill. Crazy woman!!! My case same like victim II, forced us to upgrade the ice-cream and then charged us expensive. Asked her nicely but she scolded us also, saying same thing "So you are not going to pay? RM50++ for a great ice-cream is not worth meh?" Excuse me...I better go eat BR. Tried ask receipt from her, but she doesn't want to give. She said her accountant need to check her bill, so cannot give us the original receipt. She said if her accountant audit and found out the actual price and discount price different, she will in trouble. I want the receipt to complain, but now no proof. Asked her to reprint a receipt, she said her system cannot reprint receipt one. Did anyone of you get a receipt after dining using online voucher? Really vomit blood see her face...

  6. Hi guys, didn't know about all these..when i posted this post was three years ago. and honestly saying i did not went back after my visit which was 3 years ago because of the slow service. So sorry to hear about the incident that happen to you guys. For the spaghetti ice cream i had above, i still remember it was only rm 20+, its pretty ridiculous that they charge you guys so much for the spaghetti ice cream. Please do lodge a complain and also to reflect back to groupon/mydeals. usually they don't know about all these issues. I hope you guys will get a refund or compensation some sort.

  8. I had very bad experience with the lady boss about 3 years ago. She went beserk to the extent to chase me out from the restuarant due to no fault of mine. I was told that her partner (german guy) also could not tolerate her impulsive behaviour n ran away with other woman since.
