Funky Villa revisit

after queuing for so long to get my pairs of Crocs
came out empty handed cause i was too late
so needless to say a good meal is needed to satisfy the lost of my time
and of course i got a company that had given her shout out ' No Japanese Meal, No Western Meal'
so, Funky Villa it is since i totally forgotten about the Indonesian restaurant at Curve until now
its alright, another excuse to go for another outings then

Funky Villa was back with their set lunch but nothing seems to attract me compared to the previous set menu during my first visit
therefore, decided to choose from the a la carte instead

we had the refillable lemongrass drink and tamarind drink
i love the lemongrass drink, not too sweet for my liking and the fragrant of the lemongrass stalk
if you like lemongrass, u will favor this, if not, you will end up like Eve opting for the tamarind which was sourish with hints of tamarind taste..'air asam'
another refillable was the Roselle or some might call it the 'local ribena'

she don't like Mango, a big push away for my Mango Salad and savoring the same salad, Pomelo salad with prawns and cashews
it still didn't disappoint me this time, tartness from the pomelo combining with fresh prawns and roasted cashews makes a good kick start for the meal

next was the tom yam cooked using fresh coconut flesh. you can opt for a small or medium. this was a small serving.
since this was the second visit, i realize that their tomyam was just mild spicy but i guess you can always request for extra hot
its loaded with lots of fresh seafood and it was flavorful
the sourness and the mild spiciness was just nice for me

next was the tom yam with coconut milk version
it was almost similar with the previous one except with the adding of coconut milk
it makes the soup slightly creamier
but, i barely felt a significant difference (of course a clear difference of colour) in the taste
maybe it's not fresh santan and i'm pretty sure the amount added was just a little as it looks pretty diluted from near

the last dish which was the chef recommendation
green curry chicken
but, my first bite was the baby brinjal, it wasn't well cooked
it was still hard in the middle
and the gravy wasn't thick and flavorful enough for me
tasted better one before, it was a pretty disappointment to me though we finished up the food
never waste food right?!

ups and downs but we enjoyed the meal
and as usual Eve is always busy camwhoring and her addiction to her phone
oh, we watched a movie 'stool pigeon' and i still find the name funny till date
a pretty decent movie by Cheung Ka Fai and Nicholas Tse
i like the lady in the show, the one who acted in 不能说的秘密 , very stunning indeed

my first hand sew tissue pouched..okay i know its not a good piece of work..will trained more

see ya Eve, all the best in exams

sinny
