Upon my staying at Serdang, i did not realize the existence of this place
until i came across a blog, i thought it was a gem
so since kwee yong and yc invited me for dinner
we headed for this place
each of the worker shirt was printed with:

the hokkien mee..erm 1st mouth, not enough wok hei. to me its important that 'tai chao' have wok hei..2nd: the lard wasn't enough, wasn't it the ingredient that is crucial..but overall it is still not bad although to kwee yong, the portion was so small for 2 pax

loh mee..erm nothing to shout about also..but at least i get to eat tai lok mee after so long..

ha..the kam heong bali tong..although its pretty difficult to suck out the meat..but the process was enjoyable..tempting my companion that could not savor this due to sore throat..no worries..next time ill accompany you again..back to the food.the flavor was pretty nice..although i get pretty thirsty after tht..i guess it the msg..

the whole bill sum up to RM38..its a bit pricey don't they??

MIHAS 2nd practice

this was the 2nd practice for the MIHAS competition
but this time we were just preparing a mock instead of 4 full set
and they were for the meat subclass
do i fare good enough??
why don't you tell me??

kobe carpacio accompany with pistachio rock melon and strawberry vinaigrette

this time we only use tenderloin since kobe is too pricey, we leave it for the last practice...and i'm short of strawberries, replaced it with raspberries..the color just wasn't intense enough after blending.. the garlic coating the meat is just too strong and i was hoping the salt flavor to immerse more into the meat

the top view..urgh..when is my new plates coming?? just couldn't stand with the plate..to be truthful, this is just not good enough for me yet..

buttersquash soup with smoked chicken breast and mushroom timbales

1st: flavor of butternut is overpowering that shade of the stock
2nd: the stock just wasn't good enough..mummy made better stock
3rd: onion was just too coarse for timbale and i think shitake/portabellon will be more fragant
4th: of course, waiting the arrival of new soup bowl

lastly, roast rosemary lamb rack with potato choux pastry and saute summer vegetables
1st: its pretty obvious that the meat is overcooked!!
2nd: the sauce wasn't right..its suppose to be really really dark and thick and LESS OILY!!
3rd: the choux pastry should be more brown and even in size

the 1st trial for both subclass just sucks for me!!i wonder is this my only limit or my work have been limited due to intention of others??!!

reunion

after days and days of torturing for exam

i need something to comfort myself and food will be at best choice
it also a coincidence that hooizhe ring carmen for dinner
though i wan to have my korean food but this would be good enough
meeting up wth hooi zhe and Jaclyn was awesome..i haven't seen them like ages
persuading carmen to go dragon_i cause i want to have my fav 'fu yong tan'

the place was really packed for a Monday night
service is bad and slow
but we are so busy updating each other on our life that we couldn't care less

we just can't stop talking
and this is remedy i need for a bad day
its always relaxing and fun to be with them
carmen did some funny check up on her staff..haha..
din take any 'human' pic coz everyone's face is not in good condition..haha..

stir fry fish fillet with long beans
all the dish was cold..urgh..bad bad..but this is already the best one for the day..
those sitting at the table is already earning big big four figure but i'm still....haih

i break the yolk before remembering that i haven't snap
this time they overcooked the whites until it became lumpy and the egg weren't hot enough to cook the yolk..i must have it again!!

how can we not have their signature dumpling..yes its filled with soup but COLD too..how can this dumpling be cold
i think they should hire more stuffs since they are fully booked everyday...

RM1 chicken
if you dine in from 6 to 9 pm and more than 3 ppl..u can have this chicken at RM1..yes RM1 i got no problem telling the truth..
but the convict: meat was hard (guess its frozen chicken), cold (guess they pre-prepared quite a lot), not flavorful enough (since they are in a rush)

i guess this is a bad night for dragon food..
but a good night with those girls..we chat until people start cleaning up the place..haha

it brightens my day

it was the MIHAS 1st practice ytd..from morning until night..it was chaos especially its during the exam season and of course i screwed my 1st paper..haih..

anyway i'm not going to elaborate much on event coz those that should know the details already knew..below are some of my group works..won't be elaborating others work cause i don't think im up to par to critic yet..i knw i know its terrible work but hope after more training it will get better..give me some time..:)

1st try: pan-seared scallop with candied orange, tomato coulis and poached prawn with black beans sauce

1st try: combination of sole fillet with parsley potato, watercress salad and creamed leek

after the comment and everything, this is the 2nd try

after such a chaos day, it do drained everyone's energy..although i was determined to study, but i failed to..haha

but the next day, i thought i was going to hibernate in my room, but i just got a msg and i got a surprise and how stupid i am to trust all the words being said previously..

and this is what i got!! see!! how hang fok am i during exam..don't get jeoulous..

yuan's bithday part 2

as promised, the second part of Yuan's birthday celebration
after procrastinating this trip for more than few semester
this is the best chance to go
so, 8 of us decided to shoot up this place
some one of them is really to celebrate
some of them is because of .....???

see the amount of luggage just for one night..most of them belongs to the birthday girl
the room really doesn't fit all of us..but who cares..and as usual they got to wait for me to bath and wait for the girls to make up..i know some would say wats the point to make up..but its birthday rite? '2kg of mascara and 2kg of liner' haha

she got to bring him along..gosh..it does not resemble her lou kong at all

while waiting for the girls, some of them just camwhore..terrible of them to take so many 18sx pic..forbid to put it up here..

not knowing what to eat..we head down to coffee terrace for dinner..damn hungry so it doesn't matter if the food is really that nice..

we did went to gamble a little..lost a small amount of money compared to those big gambler in there..i tot they said those that gamble 1st time got luck..its a lie..even the birthday girl got no luck..

back in the room.everyone rushing to clean up before starting a new thing

her brandy truffle..forgotten to bought cream and vanilla cream..very solid cake..nice brandy..and we manage to finish it..

we started playing big fish small fish and multiply 7..and of course we started to drink..some of them were dizzy..some of them were blushing..things starts to tone down (weird..drinking suppose to get high)..we played truth and dare..this was superb..so many secrets..we are so honest..no disclosure here as we had promised whatever said in the room ends there..

this is the happy family for the day..i decided to name us 'the pat pat group (pp)'
its so official..yes dont shock..yuan is drinking milk from baby bottle..everyone in it just seems to be enjoying..

her 23 is another superb..although this might be the last time we will be celebrating together..so it has to be awesome..i promise the rest will also be awesome too

the next morning..after McDonald..its time for some fun..but the worst thing happened..it rains..its such a long pour that we moved inside..

this is our last game..our 'piratay' ship..oh ya we design a new form of language that only belongs to the pat pat group..it trademark registered..patpat language..this is the game that made everyone collapsed..its so ticklish..i would rather go for spaceshot 10 times also dunwan do this another time..yong terus collapsed..hihi..
