another outlet from BIG..they are really mushrooming with Plan B, Ben's at KLCC, T Forty Two and now Ben's General Foodstore..highly salute Mr. Benjamin Chung for being able to expand in such a tremendous speed!!! Now, back to the food..
the caesar salad and the cof fish salad (don't remember the actual name)..we love one..and we dislike one..big chunks of bread, romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese crisp and caesar dressing..how can we not like it..so disorganized yet so homey..lettuce was fresh, bread was well toasted, bacons were crunchy..dressing was creamy and well seasoned..the only down part was too little dressing for us..and while we were munching on this, i peep at the rest of the tables, and quite many of them ordered caesar salad pizza..basically pizza dough topped with caesar salad..sounds very normal yet you hardly get it else where :)
the cod fish salad didn't fair so well..it tasted fishy and dressing just doesn't blend in with the rest of the ingredient..i only like the pineapple though..
this shows how much he likes his dessert that night..haha..
next was the pepperoni pizza..their pizza here could easily feed 2 and 3 of us were struggling to finish the pizza coz there were another one coming up..thin crusted, chewier and blistered all over..that's the way i like it..uh huh uh huh..loaded with pepperoni and melted cheese all over..YUMMY!!!! this only proves Malaysian pizzeria is getting bette and i like it!!
next was the breakfast pizza..a very heavy hearty breakfast i would say..meat balls, eggs, bacon, ketchup all over the pizza dough..this didn't fair so well to me..bottled ketchup has never been my fav..too commercial i guess..but chan seems to like it..especially when the pizza is coated with the runny yolks burst out in the middle..
good salad, good pizza of course u need a good drink..super nutella milkshake..i stop taking nutella after all the nutella at the shelves are produced in Thailand which is much much sweeter..i wonder why..but for this, it wasn't that sweet after it had been blend with the milk..etc.etc..for the first few sips, its so creamy and sinful, but towards the end, its pretty difficult to finish it as it becomes too heavy especially when the stomach was filled with other food as well..
overall these was a good place for some hearty deli food (at least for the food we eaten )..service was pretty efficient that night, maybe it was a weekday..shall come back and try more of their item when i had my crime partner back in town..
